Runway Closet offers you to rent a premium designer garment for any special occasion, in a fraction of the price. By browsing through our closet, you can find different styles and choose the item that fits your occasion.

Upon checkout completion, we will ship your order, which you will be able to enjoy for 4 or 8 days, depending on the option you have selected. Our recommendation is to place your order at least 2 days before you need it. Try on the garment to check the fit and ensure you’ll look fabulous!

In the off case you don’t love something, we’ll do everything we can to provide a fast replacement.

We offer you the option to keep the garment item for up to 8 days. We recommend booking your order early, so that you receive it at least 1-2 days before the day you actually need it. Just think of it as a small step process: 

- Receive your garment and try it on. If you look fabulous, you’re good to go. If it doesn’t fit, you can get in touch and we will do our best to provide a fast replacement.

- Accessorize your garment to pull off a stunning look at your occasion!

- Return your garment by placing it back in the Runway Closet garment bag.

-Drop it off at the nearest PostNL location.

You’re set! We’ll take care of the dry-cleaning and recycling.

Missing out on a favorite garment can be a bummer. You can use the ‘Notify’ bar to get informed via email as soon as the garment is back in stock.

When our styles can no longer cycle through our rental program, they will then become available for purchase via our dedicated online page. As soon as the garments you rented in the past go through our fade-out process, you will receive an email in your registered email address.

But, hurry up! We only have a limited number of items available! We follow high standards for quality inspection, only items in impeccable condition are ever allowed to be rented or sold.

We don’t allow any alterations. However, you can always use fashion tape to temporarily tailor your style. Just remember to take it off before sending the garments back to us!

We understand that may happen. When renting through Runway Closet, we also include an insurance fee of 5€, which covers those minor repairs. However, in case of significant damage that will result in the garment not being considered ‘as new’, loss of the item, or theft; we will have to charge you the full retail price of the item you have rented.

No need to clean the items you ordered on your own; we take care of that for you! Before every shipment, we clean every item at Stomerij Supernette’s cleaning facility, which follows environmentally friendly practices to thoroughly clean garments. We do our best to ensure the clothes will arrive wrinkle-free; each item is steamed and pressed before being sealed in a protective plastic bag to protect them from further handling and then placed in Runway Closet’s garment bag.

If you receive a garment item with a few wrinkles, please try steaming it on low heat, always taking into consideration the material composition.

We understand that the right size can be tricky to find. That’s why we have added size charts and a size recommender in all product pages. We also recommend to check the reviews and photos from other Runway Closet, to make sure you make a well-informed decision.

If the sizes you ordered don’t fit still, then we’ll do everything we can to send you on time a replacement style.

We believe it’s crucial to show what other women in the community have to say about an item you’re considering renting. We value your feedback and we hope you leave a review to share your experience with other’s so we can broaden and build the community with honest feedback and shared values.

We want to make sure that the review you posted is helpful for our community, which is why we take the time to read every review submitted prior to publishing it. Sometimes it may take some time for your review to go through the approval process.

During the review approval process, we check your review is within our guidelines. For example, we do not approve reviews that include:

- Profane or inappropriate language

- Photos of people that aren’t fully clothed, or include profanity

- Any photos of children, or photos that include children (for privacy purposes)

- Promotions or comparisons with other services or brands

- Contact information or information that can identify you as a person, or that include promotional material

- Questions or feedback related to a specific order, or shipping

- Content that may be detected as spam

- Content that doesn’t address the main purpose of the rental product

Reviews can generally make or break someone’s decision to rent an item. Start by thinking what information you’re looking for when considering renting a product. Try answering a few questions when writing your review:

- What did I like about the item? Did I like the material or the style? Did I like the designer? Did I like the versatility it offers?

- Was the size true to fit? What size did I rent? Did the size match the regular size I usually wear? Was is tighter or looser compared to my usual size?

- Where did I wear the item? What occasion did I choose the item for? A cocktail outing or at work? The same item can be worn at different occasions

- How did I feel when wearing it? Did I feel well when wearing it? Fabulous or super confident?

- Do I have any advice to share that you wish you had known before renting the item? Was there something about the item that made me love it even more, or regret renting it? If there’s something specific to the item, feel free to share it as well, such deep V-neck, longer straps etc.

For a more powerful review, feel free to also add a picture of you wearing it! This way the rest of the community can understand better if the size you rented will fit them as well, or maybe they will be inspired by your style, who knows!

As soon as you reserve an item on Runway Closet’s website, your payment method will be charged. In case of returns beyond the expiration date of your rental period, we will send you a payment link for the additional costs that were incurred due to that delay. If that amount isn’t paid within 14 days, then the case will move to our collection partners, who will further handle the situation. Please note we do not charge for a delay in return due to post delay if the shipping date is within the allowable time period.

There are a few reasons your promotion code might not be working:

- The promotion has expired

- The order you’re placing doesn’t meet the minimum value requirements

- The products you are reserving aren’t part of the promotion

- The promotion codes are case sensitive; try copying and pasting them in the code field

- You can only apply one discount code per order, so if you’re trying to apply more than one discount code, it won’t work

Of course! A lot of members of our community choose to ship their rentals to the office address or to the hotel when they are travelling. However, you need to make sure the address is located in the Netherlands.

All you have to do is sit back and relax. It will take 1-2 working days for your order to be delivered to the delivery address. Once the order is shipped, keep an eye on the progress of your delivery real-time via the track and trace number you received in your email inbox.

Keep in mind that our recommendation is to try on the garment as soon as you receive it to ensure you’re satisfied with your order. In case you’re not fully satisfied, we will do everything in our power to send you a replacement on time for your event.

In case you have ordered more than 2 items with the same delivery date, then your order will be delivered in 2 separate packages.

In the rare occasion you haven’t received an order confirmation email but your order has been successfully placed, then you should be able to see your orders under your account. In case you have completed your purchase as a guest, then you may check your order by visiting the respective page on our website by clicking here.

We understand you want to make sure your order will be delivered on time. We suggest for you to plan on receiving your order at least 1-2 days before your occasion or event to avoid any last-minute stress. We mostly work with PostNL which reliably delivers orders within 1-2 working days.

We suggest to frequently check the progress of the delivery by using the track and trace number of your order. You may find the track and trace number in the shipping confirmation email you have received in the email account you registered when placing an order.

You can login in to your account, navigate under ‘Order History’ and find the order number of the order you have placed. Otherwise, you can look for the order confirmation email which has been sent to the email account you registered when you placed an order.

In case you received a damaged item, drop us a line to inform us right away. We will do everything in our power to replace the item before the event you’re planning to attend. You can either notify us by filling in the contact form, or send us an email at help@runway-closet.com, mentioning your order number and the item you want to replace.

As soon as your garment has shipped, a tracking information email will be sent to the email address you registered when you placed your order. You can also track your order by checking your account on our website.

Don’t worry, that can happen. You can always get in touch with PostNL and ask them if they can reschedule your order. Otherwise, you also have the possibility to get your style delivered to one of your neighbors or to pick it up from a PostNL location.

When your rental period has ended, it’s time for you to say goodbye to your favorite styles. Keep in mind that in case of returns beyond the expiration date of your rental period, we will send you a payment link for the additional costs that were incurred due to that delay. Yes, you can. Get in touch with us at help@runway-closet.com to inform us and send you the return label in your registered email address. Once you receive it, you can drop off your rental at your closest PostNL location and initiate the return process.

Unfortunately, in that case another person who had reserved the item will no longer be able to wear the style they chose and a community member is going to be impacted by the delay. It’s very important to return your item by the time rental period is over.

In case of returns beyond the expiration date of your rental period, we will send you a payment link for the additional costs that were incurred due to that delay. If that amount isn’t paid within 14 days, then the case will move to our collection partners, who will further handle the situation.

Please note we do not charge for a delay in return due to post delay if the shipping date is within the allowable time period.

Returns can be a hassle, that’s why we put extra effort into making them easy! Here are a few steps should follow:

- Pack your garments back in the garment bag they came. We are reusing the same garment bags for all the styles we ship. That’s also how we reduce waste.

- Place in the hangers; you don’t have to add the plastic cover, but if you do, we will be happy to recycle it.

- Print the pre-paid return label we sent to your registered email address 2 days before the expiration of your rental period and place it into the external pouch you will find on the outside part of the garment bag. Then, fold the bag, and close the zipper tight.

- Place the plastic zipper lock on the zipper, to ensure nobody will be able to access the garment bag and so that the garment will find its way back to us.

- Send your style back via your nearest PostNL location.

Just make sure to return your garments before the end of your rental day. Unfortunately, we will have to charge you 50€ additionally for each day the garments are late.

You can drop off the garment bag with your garments at the nearest DHL location.

We ask you to return the hangers and optionally place the plastic cover back in the garment bag. At Runway Closet, we recycle and reuse all materials we receive, to limit waste and make fashion more sustainable for our planet. If you want to read more, you can visit the Sustainability page.

On the rare occasion this happens, then you can still return your order on the next day of your rental period, by 12pm (noon). In that case, we will not charge you extra.
